Robert Henderson and 5 grown sons arrive in PA 1778 from County Caven, IRE but were all born in Dalmannie, West Lothian, Scotland. There genealogy up till now is complete its before that eludes me. WHO WERE HIS PARENTS? His wife Margaret Jane Carnahan's parents are invisible, too.
Anyone connected in any way?? Any Henderson's in late 1700's in Pennsylvannia, Mercer, Worth Township that know their generations back in Scotland? |

I am a decendant of robert henderson, our information is that the five brothers came down the Ohio on a keel boat & joined thier father in Lewis county ky.(formally Mason county) on cabin creek, in the 1790's.Have been to the site.the original cabin is gone but they built a later house which is no longer owned by the family, but the farm next to it is still owned by Henderson's.My great, great, great grandfather was Francis Marion Henderson born in 1842 in Brown county Ohio, his father was James l. Henderson.I don't know if James was one of the original five brothers or a son of one of them.I believe the five brothers were,Thomas,William,George,Daniel & possibly James. Two settled at Cabin creek,Daniel settle in Adams county Ohio & two settle in I believe Happy valley in Kentucky not far from cabin creek.
